Insurance & Accepted Forms of Payment
Accepted forms of payment at Independent Therapy Solutions include cash, credit cards, checks, and FSA and HSA accounts.
ITS does not accept insurance. Why?
Insurance companies too often dictate a person’s physical therapy treatment. When relying on insurance to cover care, patients often find they don’t receive adequate treatment. These companies take a rehab-only approach and will give your injury a rating of “low,” “moderate,” or “high complexity,” which then determines how many sessions they will cover, regardless of what a practitioner believes the patient needs.
The insurance industry’s approach to PT is not often effective, which is why ITS does not accept insurance. If you sign up for six sessions and only need three, ITS will refund you the difference. If your insurance pays out of network, ITS can supply you with a superbill that may be submitted for coverage, but ITS cannot guarantee reimbursement from your insurance company.
